Setup
While your exact setup will vary based on your physical space, there are a few common guidelines that can be followed to get the best results.
Camera Position
- The best camera positions are ~1ft to the left/right of the edge of the board, 2-3ft out toward the oche, and ~6in above/below the bullseye height.
- Webcams are designed to capture objects ~2ft in front of them
- If mounting the camera on the same surface as the dartboard you should be wary of vibrations from the darts causing the picture to shake after each dart hits the board
Scoreboard Position
- The ideal location for your scoreboard is the same as the standard placement for a dry-erase or chalk board - off to the side and on the same surface as the dartboard.
- A tablet or phone can fit on the ledge of most standard darts scoreboards, but if you don’t have one available then these products can be used to hold any tablet or phone you use for scoring:
